I have ASE 2 and do not want to step up to ASE 3 at this time. How do I get the latest ASE 2 release?

If you are eligible, we recommend moving to ASE 3, but if you wish to stay with ASE 2 you may take the following steps:

  1. If you don’t already have an online site account, you must create one. Anyone can create an account. If you don’t have one, create one—no account is created for you. Use this link to create a site account:

  2. Next you must associate your online account with your license information (in this case the ASE 2 Customer ID you were assigned at purchase). Use this link to register your online account as a registered user account:

    http://www.adminscripteditor.com/ASEregister.asp

On this page you will enter your ASE 2 customer ID in the field on the right and press the “Subscribe” button.

  3. Now that you have a registered support account, you may visit the My Account page to view your license information as well as the latest downloads available to you. Remember that the ASE 2 Trial edition cannot be activated, so you will need to download the latest ASE 2 version available to you from here. If you wish to step up to ASE 3, please click here for further instructions.

I have ASE 2 and wish to upgrade to ASE 3 and I am eligible for updates (upgrade expiration is current). How do I step up to ASE 3?

If you are eligible for updates either because you have purchased ASE within the last year or have purchased an additional year of upgrade eligibility prior to the ASE release, you may step up to ASE 3 Enterprise Edition at no charge.

  1. If you have a registered online site account already and can view your My Account page, skip to step 4.

  2. If you don’t already have an online site account, you must create one. Anyone can create an account and more than one person may create an account using the same customer ID. If you don’t have one, create one—no account is created for you. Use this link to create a site account:

  4. Now that you have a registered support account, you may visit the My Account page to view your license information as well as the latest downloads available to you. If you are within your upgrade eligibility period you will see a link to migrate your license to v3 (at the bottom of the blue box that contains your license information). Click this link and verify the information provided. You will need to enter a password for your new license—this does not need to be the same as your online site account, but that is up to you. When complete, press the "Submit" button to migrate your license.

  5. You will be taken back to the My Account page when your license is migrated (this could take a minute) where you will see your new ASE 3 license information. The details regarding your new license are also sent to you via email. Download the latest version available to you from this page and use your new ASE 3 license information to activate.

I have ASE 2 and wish to upgrade to ASE 3 and I am no longer eligible for updates (upgrade expiration has expired). How do I step up to ASE 3?

If you are not eligible for updates because your upgrade eligibility date has expired, you will need to purchase a new license in order to step up to ASE 3. If your maintenance expired within the last 60 days, please contact us about receiving a special priority code in order to receive a 25% discount on your new purchase.

  1. Go to the purchase page at the link below and click the “Admin Script Editor” link at the top of the page (do not choose upgrade or maintenance options; you cannot extend maintenance without an existing ASE 3 license). Next, select the edition you wish to purchase. Click the compare editions button to see what comes with each of the available editions of ASE.

  2. Enter the desired quantity and press the “Order Now” button at the bottom right of the screen. If you have been provided one, enter a priority code at the bottom right of the screen. Then, press the “Check Out” button.

Note: if you are purchasing licenses for others, be sure to complete separate transaction processes for each as the resulting license information will be identical for all copies purchased.

  3. It is important to note that as you do not already have an ASE 3 license, you cannot log in with an existing account. Regardless of if you own ASE 2 or not, you will need to create a new license account by entering your email address and pressing the “Next” button on the right.

  4. Complete the required fields and press the “Next” button. Note that the password field you choose at the bottom of this page will be used to activate your product and will be tied to your license information. If you share a multi-seat license with others in your company, be sure to keep this in mind so you do not end up having to share any personal passwords with others.

  5. Next, choose your desired method of payment: credit card or Paypal and press the "Next" button. If you are purchasing by credit card the next screen will collect your credit card number and billing address. If you choose Paypal, you are taken to the Paypal website to complete the transaction.

  6. You are then presented with an order confirmation page where you can see the total to be charged as well as the other purchase details you have provided. Make any necessary change using the "edit" links and press "Next" to initiate payment.

  7. When payment is confirmed you will be presented with your invoice. There is a link to a printable invoice which we recommend you make use of. Keep this information safe! This is the license information you have purchased-- you will find your License ID and Password which are used to activate the product. This information is also sent via email to the email address provided during checkout.

  8. If you already have an online site account, you can consider yourself done. If you don’t already have an online site account, we strongly suggest that you create one. Anyone can create an account and more than one person may create an account using the same customer ID. If you don’t have one, create one—no account is created for you.
