ASE can enforce change log entries on specified scripts (or all scripts if you really like change logs a lot). When closing a script you may be prompted to provide a reason for the change. This can be optionally configured to require a comment be entered.

The format of the change logs as well as the list of types from which you may choose are all completely customizable from the ASE Options menu!
